Designed and built by Mason Joinery, this ultra-modern kitchen offers multiple spacious workstations with a mix of refined elements. Designers Drew Nethercote and Mark Charles worked closely with the clients to transform the conventional kitchen and dining area into a luxurious open-plan layout that is ideal for everyday use and entertaining.

Positioned to take full advantage of the waterfront views, the stunning island bench features a Caesarstone Rugged Concrete top and New York marble panels, as well as a blackbutt chevron timber extension. The large bench segment provides ample space for the homeowners to prepare and serve food, while the attached table comfortably seats five for casual meals with guests.

Showcasing superb attention to detail, the island’s brushed-bronze sharknose edging elegantly matches the cabinetry handles and kickboards for visual cohesion. The overhead Blum SERVO-DRIVE doors are an efficient and sophisticated addition to the space.

Set against the white walls and cabinetry, the dark tinted-glass splashback and integrated appliances achieve a striking contrast and enhance the contemporary style of the kitchen. Modern pendant lights and light stripes by Lightcore illuminate the space, and can be adjusted to create a moody aesthetic when required.

Spanning the length of room, the dual-access butler’s pantry provides a second sink and dishwasher, as well as extended storage potential, which keeps the main area free of clutter. Extra-wide walkways were incorporated to encourage ease of movement.
