Chase Wilson Project 2 (Formerly Saveways Office and Kitchens)

When planning this project, the homeowners approached Saveways Office and Kitchens for a sophisticated redesign on a strict budget. Designer Peter Chaseling worked in close collaboration with the client to create a tasteful and stylish kitchen and outdoor dining area that didn’t break the bank.

Using a neutral colour palette of warm creams and browns with stainless steel accents, the kitchen was transformed into a bright and inviting space. The standout feature is the impressive, glossy Tasmanian oak island bench that also doubles as the dining table. The rich tone of the wood is complemented by Ceaserstone benchtops and polished cement flooring, which lend a modish emphasis to the environment. The redesign allows for plenty of natural light to filter through, and in the sunlit space the gleaming surfaces really shine.

To strike the right balance between style and functionality, the kitchen is also equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, including a Qasair canopy rangehood from Condari and Miele dishwasher.

As keen entertainers, the homeowners were eager to create an easily accessible outdoor dining area in which to host guests. The airy and spacious new deck flows seamlessly from the kitchen, and acts as an organic extension to the indoor space.

Dove grey floorboards and roofing in pale tan continue the theme of soft, neutral palettes, and together create a visually appealing setting. The deck area is conveniently covered to guarantee that any guests are protected from the elements, while ceiling fans also ensure a comfortable atmosphere.
