OJ Kitchen and Joinery

OJ Kitchens & Joinery combined classic elegance and modern functionality on this project to create a kitchen that will be a joy both to look at and to use for years to come. The brief for the project was to create a space that would be the social hub of this family home, while also facilitating easy entertaining.

The cleverly hidden butler’s pantry was built into the space under a staircase, providing an abundance of storage and room for a sink and a coffee machine. Nicola McLaughlin of OJ Kitchens & Joinery designed the pantry door to swing inwards to prevent blocking the kitchen walkway.

The standout feature of the kitchen is the quartzite volcanic ash honed benchtops. The benchtops are complemented by a minimalist colour palette, including white bevelled-edge Italian tiles.

OJ Kitchens & Joinery was founded in the early 1980s and has been owned and operated by the Prole family since 1999, with general manager Bill Prole having more than 20 years of industry experience. Servicing the Brisbane metropolitan area, the company specialises in custom-designed projects.

The company can provide any joinery that you can dream of, including outdoor kitchens, libraries, walk-in wardrobes, entertainment units, bathroom vanities, shaving cabinets, bench seating and furniture.
