This kitchen had to be the central hub of the home, a place where the client’s family could gather to prepare meals, entertain guests and share good times. It also had to be simple, stylish and modern, and cater for all purposes, from creating a three-course meal for guests to enjoying a cup of coffee at the breakfast bar.

In response to these requirements, A & T Cabinet Makers’ designer Sky-Lee Martin designed a kitchen layout that was very carefully considered. The back end of the kitchen has been designated as the ‘busy’ area, leaving two long open bench spaces that are perfect for food preparation and serving. The breakfast bar entices guests to sit down and join in with the cooking process, or relax and enjoy a glass of wine while they wait.

The kitchen is perfect for the social chef. It has abundant storage, soft-close stainless steel drawers, pullout pantry shelves, and an organisation area with a sink drawer, bin drawer and utility drawer. Cupboards have been internally lined with silver board instead of basic white, and a large appliance nook with a roll-up drawer and sensor touch lighting has been installed.

Doors and panels have been finished with a two-pack paint and the benchtop is made from CaesarStone in ginger. The stunning Carrara Oro raised feature around the cooktop and on the splashback is an eye-catching and impressive aspect of the room. With easy access to all stored items and a cooktop in the island bench for easy interaction while cooking, A & T Cabinet Makers have truly made this kitchen the heart of the client’s home.
