Sleek simplicity reigns supreme in this contemporary kitchen designed and constructed by Utopia Kitchens & Living. In a space with a restrained colour palette and deceptively simple design, each element must be executed to perfection, which Utopia Kitchens & Living accomplished with gusto.

The stone-clad island bench and integrated dining table stand proudly in the centre of the space. The ingenious design creates a smooth, elegant line that connects the kitchen and living area, while the soft grey veins of the stone offer a delicate point of interest.

Ideal for the entertainer or the amateur chef, the kitchen island features an integrated stovetop and oven, which form a convenient triangle with the sink on the rear bench. With the integrated appliances cleverly positioned on the far side of the bench, guests entering the space are first presented with the island’s smooth stone slab. Streamlining the design to ensure a seamless connection between the living spaces meant an unobtrusive, pop-up downdraft rangehood was installed in the island bench, lying flush with the stone when closed.

Adhering to a minimalist colour scheme allows the finishes to shine, and displays the unrivalled attention-to-detail Utopia Kitchens & Living is known for. The stonework, cabinetry and flooring form a harmonious aesthetic that accentuates the rich warmth of the timber, the smooth matte finish of the cabinets and the subtle, natural variation of the stone. The smooth banks of drawers and cabinetry utilise push-to-open features and J-grip handles for seamless style, practicality and elegance.
