Designed and renovated by KSW Renovations, this kitchen is elegant, functional and family-friendly. The client brief called for a kitchen layout that maximised space and catered to effortless family dining. The homeowner wanted a kitchen with abundant storage and bench space, though with a modest square footage, this layout demanded an economical use of space.

Kelvin Watson, KSW Renovations’ owner and operator, designed the kitchen to utilise the counters and benches to their full potential, without sacrificing space. This was accomplished by installing dual, wall-mounted ovens, a pot drawer dishwasher on either side of the kitchen sink, and a pull-out bin. Keeping these features hidden ensures plenty of bench space is available for effortless cooking and dining experiences.

The L-shaped island makes great use of the kitchen space, forging a link between the prepping area, counter and bench stools. This facilitates family interaction and informal entertaining within the kitchen area.

The client wanted to be able to move freely between the kitchen and outdoor barbeque, so KSW Renovations designed a kitchen the flows directly into the exterior barbecue area for alfresco dining, adding to the family-oriented nature of the layout.

Fitting the fridge into the butler’s pantry also created additional room in the main kitchen. The butler’s pantry includes ample storage space and a second sink and dishwasher, which conveniently separates the cleaning and cooking areas. The pantry also features a built-in wine rack for the wine lover in the home.

KSW Renovations has created a bathroom that is similarly elegant, with a large mirror spanning the length of the bathroom and a double sink vanity in vivid white. The door-less walk-in shower is fitted with a dual shower head that is perfectly suited to a couple.
